Places they knew

How Qloo finds these
  1. Their story. The family tells the Go-Between about Margaret: where they lived and when, what they loved, what to steer clear of.
  2. Places and years. Each place becomes a real town (Manchester, Blackpool) and the years Margaret was there, best between about 10 and 30.
  3. Qloo, per town and era. Qloo finds artists of those decades (the town’s own music first), films and TV from those years popular there, long-standing places, the venues the story names, and things like what they love.
  4. Steer clear. Anything that touches steer clear is left out, everywhere. The model only picks a song per artist, checked on MusicBrainz, and writes the prompts.

Each item in the gallery says why it’s here. The Qloo calls, one by one

Paused and resting (2)

Paused after an upset: ‘Yesterday’. The family is asked about it in Tell me more.

Resting for a month (no reaction three times): ‘Lola’.
